This is a list of the most commonly asked questions that people have eMailed us about.
To help everyone out, we decided that we would put these questions up on this page to help limit the eMails that we receive each day. Q: Are my guests able to make requests at my event?
A: Of course! G-Town DJ’s are more than willing to play your guests request(s) as long as permission was granted from the event host.
Q: Can we give you a "Do NOT play list?"
A: Of course! We wont play anything you don't want played! We want to keep you and your guests happy with your request list!
Q: Can we give you a CD with songs on it to play?
A: Yes, G-Town DJ's will gladly play your music provided. G-Town DJ's does have a wide variety of music provided as well!
Q: Can we request additional time if we want G-Town DJ’s to stay longer?
A: Yes, we’d be more than happy to provide more time at your event, for an additional per hour fee.
Q: Do you have back-up music in case your DJ computer fails?
A: G-Town DJ's ALWAYS brings a backup computer stored with 1000's of songs to cater your event in case of a computer failure.
Q: Does G-Town DJ's provide a microphone for special announcements?
A: G-Town DJ's will provide a wired or wireless microphone for you & your guests to use for special announcements or shoutouts.
Q: Does G-Town DJ’s take breaks at events?
A: No, we play continuous music, unless advised otherwise by the event host.
Q: How can we be sure that no one will trip over wires by your equipment?
A: G-Town DJ's strives for you and your guests safety. We hide all wires behind the DJ booth with no visibility of messy wires. We tie up extended wires, and tape down any visible wires needed for lighting.
Q: How do you keep track of all your equipment?
A: G-Town DJ's has a very strict inventory of EVERY piece of equipment owned. Not only does it help prevent theft, but also helps us keep track of what we need to bring to your event! We want to be sure we're bringing every piece of equipment you wanted at your event!
Q: How do you prepare for a(n) event?
A: G-Town DJ's pride on customer service. From the start of day one, when you book your date, we are constantly working with you to get ready for your event. Two days before, we make sure all equipment is tested, cleaned and packed up before your event!
Q: How early do you arrive to setup your equipment?
A: G-Town DJ's will show up at LEAST ONE hour early prior to the event starting to setup the equipment, run a light/sound check and prepare any other tasks necessary for your event. There may be times where we arrive extra early for additional setup.
Q: How far in advance should I book my event with G-Town DJ's?
A: You can book your event at any time. We require at least 2 weeks notice prior to your event date. Of course we encourage you to book your event ASAP so your date is saved.
Q: How long has G-Town DJ's been providing DJ services?
A: G-Town DJ's has been providing DJ services since 2006. We have grown more than ever in the past years. G-Town DJ's continues to grow bigger each & every year.
Q: How many DJ's come to an event?
A: G-Town DJ's will provide at least 2 DJ's per event. There are some occasions that we will provide 3 DJ's at your event.
Q: The venue has a larger sound system. Can you pipe your music through it for a bigger experience?
A: Of course! G-Town DJ's knows that bigger events with a bigger crowd require more power/much larger speakers. We are always willing to pipe our music through any venue's sound system.
Q: What is your current song count?
A: Our current song count to date: 03/02/09 is...26,000. Our playlist continues to grown each month with all the newest hits.
Q: What is your dress code?
A: G-Town DJ's always wants to make sure we look appropriate at your event. Our dress code depends on the event host's request. If you want G-Town DJ's to be in formal wear, we will be at your event in formal wear. If you would like us to show up as casual, we will gladly wear our G-Town DJ's T-Shirts (tucked in) and blue jeans.
